Happy Easter

We want to wish you all a Happy Easter & fill you in about life here at The Heath House over the last few weeks.
After losing 5 trees in storm Doris, we are now very happy to see the gardens and grounds come to life and we are enjoying our best show of daffodils ever.

As always, life continues to be busy as we install a fabulous new kitchen downstairs along with some rather lovely new ladies loos! These fabulous additions will be great for our business clients using the Dining Room as well as those staying for Country House Weekends.

Country House Stays

Never a dull moment at The Heath House – our next project is to install a new snazzy kitchen that will the family refer to as ‘Walker’s Pantry’ (named after the butler!)

We plan to keep the name as a link to the past, which all forms an important part of the heritage of the House.  Within this room is the old bell system which we will also try to retain. When the House was re-wired in 2016, we discovered some of the ringers still work – this is handy when one of us need to get hold of the other!

Boutique 4-hour Wedding here at The Heath House

We have been reflecting on how successful all our Boutique Weddings have been in the past. Leslie and Chris decided to get married here and were accompanied by all their gorgeous family for their wonderful occasion. Leslie arrived and added the final touches to her preparations in the Bridal Suite before descending the staircase to music, escorted by her children, to get married to Chris.

After the wedding in the Drawing Room, the wedding party had drinks on the terrace and were then announced into the Dining Room for their delicious wedding breakfast.

Everyone departed with big smiles in a rocking ‘party bus’ to carry on the festivities at a nearby venue.

Meet, Marry, Stay & Party!

2017 is here and we have had a busy start to it. We have been showing lots of newly engaged couples around The Heath House and booking their weddings AND we have launched our NEW website!

As well as wedding dates booking up fast, well into 2018, we are also preparing to ‘do business’ as we welcome businesses for meetingsconferences & away days. Take a look at our new Gallery for Business Events which shows our newly refurbished Dining Room.

Not getting married or a business? Why not simply stay at The Heath House? You can book Stable Cottage, our newly refurbished cottage in the The Heath House grounds – a stunning holiday retreat complete with hot tub or even hire The Heath House itself for a magnificent Country House Weekend!

5 Reasons to Marry at The Heath House

THH Wedding

We get so many lovely comments & testimonials from our couples and they share with us a whole host of reasons why they decided to host the most important day of their lives with us at The Heath House. For some, the most important part is the house itself, for some it’s the stunning location, others adore the flexibility to create a truly unique wedding that is all about them and many love the homely feel we create – a house for your wedding.

We thought we’d have some fun and try to bring all the feedback together to create a list of the best reasons to get married at The Heath House…so here goes!

Exclusive Use – at the centre of what we offer is to offer our home for your special day and, as such, it is yours exclusively for the time you have booked. There will be no other weddings at the same time, we will not be rushing you off to make way for the next couple and we will be able to focus all our attention on your most special, important day.

A Home for your Wedding – The Heath House is very much a home and we love to share it with you so that it become your home for your wedding. You can immediately relax with your loved ones and guests in the homely atmosphere we create – comfy sofas, gorgeous bedrooms, flexible event management, roaring fires, real candles are all a given.

A Truly Bespoke Experience – you wedding will last with you forever and you want it to be unique, personal, intimate & special. From day one of booking your wedding we work with you to make your dreams come true including making all your most innovative ideas become reality. We have accommodated everything from helicopters and full size carousels to welcoming much loved canine friends, creating games areas & so much more.

The Personal Touch – this might sound a little obvious but many times our couples say to us that it was our personal approach to them and only ever dealing with one event manager throughout the planning stage and the day itself is what made them choose us. We are there to hold your hand, share our extensive experience, support you and make your dreams come true right up until the last guest goes to bed on your wedding night.

Location, Location, Location – although we say it ourselves, we are located in a rather amazing spot! Not only are we surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and fields, formal gardens and lawns (perfect for every amazing photo of your wedding), we are also ideally situated for all your guests. Just 1.5hrs from London by train and only 30 minutes from both the M6 and M1 in the Midlands, The Heath House is convenient, easy to access & yet away from it all for your magic day.

Makeover Magic at The Heath House

The paint brushes & ladders are out again at The Heath House and are so excited to finally be redecorating our beautiful Dining Room! We are surrounded by paint charts, mood boards & plans as we transform this great space into something amazing. However, as with all house projects, there’s plenty of prep first – removing precious paintings, taking down the old curtains and just a spot of messing about!

All dressed up!

As regular readers of our blog will know, alongside weddings and conferences, we also host other events like school proms, photoshoots, filming and more.

So it was with great pleasure that, in late June, we welcomed pupils from Cheadle Academy for their Summer Prom. Always lots of fun and dancing, this year they really pushed the boat out with their fabulous outfits and costumes.

We want to wish them all the best of luck in the next chapters of their lives and have a great summer!

A School Visit to Remember

The Heath House is very much part of the local community and we were thrilled to welcome a group of year 6 leavers to The Heath House yesterday from the nearby Great Wood Community Primary School. The afternoon was an opportunity for us to share the history of the house and the Philips family and inspire them as they get ready for the next step in their school journey – High School in September.

After a tour of the house and gardens the children enjoyed some refreshments in the garden and a play with the the dogs – who were very keen not to miss out on the fun!

We received a lovely email from the school and loved the feedback, especially the brilliant summary that the afternoon had been “…a true memory maker…”

Thank you to Ben Adamson and all the staff who do such an amazing job and we wish you all the best for September!
